From the time I was 11 years old, I knew I wanted to be a therapist. I have always been deeply curious about people, their experiences, emotions, and the meaning they make throughout their lives. It was only after my own transformative experience in therapy as a young 35 year old, that I truly appreciated how the therapy space can create the gift of life. That is the gift I strive to give my clients. I think of couples as the nest from which individuals go forth into the world. When a home functions well, and the people within the home feel safe, cherished, and loved, then the people have the capacity to do great things. This work, of fine-tuning the relationships at home, of discovering where loved ones are getting stuck, and of creating space, unity, and emotional health, is the work I love to do.
Aside from being a therapist, I am an active member in my local community along with my husband and our eight children. I do lots of cooking, hosting, reading, and learning new things. My favorite place to be is outside in nature, hiking, or just being. I’d love to meet you and find out more about your interests.
Who You Are
You are a beautiful person, vital to the existence of the world. You have unique talents, emotions, experience, and wisdom. You are deserving of safety, love, and celebration.
Do you long for connection, and desperately seek it? Are you often feeling reactive, emotional, rejected, or full of shame? Do emotions touch you deeply, almost physically? Are you sometimes afraid to share your feelings, not feeling emotionally safe? Does it feel like you and your partner have the same arguments over and over again, in almost predictable patterns? Do you wish you could sleep better, be more organized, and finish tasks? Do you feel like there are always multiple tabs open, in your thoughts and projects? Are people often getting frustrated with you and offering criticism or tips? Does criticism feel painful to hear?
Are you hoping to find meaning, safety, and joy in your relationships?
Then let’s talk!
I specialize in treating ADHD in relationships. If you or someone you love often feels emotional, out of control, shame, and disorganized, it impacts your relationship. I help individuals and couples identify, understand, embrace, and thrive with these symptoms. Together, we’ll look at what’s going on, remove unhelpful narratives, and gain new strategies.
Therapy, especially person-centered depth therapy, will give you the feeling of your heart opening, your sense of self expanding, your very essence coming alive.
